Seaboard Gala

A gala is defined as ….….. a social occasion with entertainments or performances. It is a special sports meeting, especially a swimming competition.
The variety that the Seaboard (Hilton, Balintore & Shandwick) Gala brings to the community – epitomises this definition.
The overarching aim of the gala is to bring the Seaboard community and visitors of the Seaboard villages together to enjoy music, dance, sports, food and drink.
We try to cater for all ages and interests of our diverse community through delivery of a mix of Highland and disco dancing, pipes and drums, live music, football, children’s sports, clay pigeon shoot, 5k run, walk, crawl, fishing competition and our unique water sports events.
The gala has had a long history dating back to post First World War times. Learn more by looking at our past times tab and enjoy some happy times through photos and videos of past gala’s.
