Accepted and agreed. All
4. Matters arising
Twenty’s Plenty signage
Signs have now been purchased, and locations agreed. We are now waiting on Highland Council to erect signs. NB has emailed FR, and we are just waiting to hear back when the HC will be putting up the signs. There are no signs planned for “The Scheme”. It was agreed that the residents should be consulted on what traffic calming measures they would prefer. LH
LH has intimated that she would be happy to look at a funding application for further signs.
BHCC agreed to use the remaining £25.00 on bin stickers and that LH could distribute them to residents.
BDRG (Coral Isaac) to engage with residents with her next newsletter.
Community to informed of signs installation via the BHCC FB page and through Coral Isaacs (BDRG) Newsletter
LH, LJ, CI
5. Christmas Lighting and Trees
All went up with no problems. Thanks to all involved. Special mention to:
Trees were purchased from Tain Free Church Christmas Tree Project at the cost of £25.OO per tree.
Defective lights have been reported, and HC is aware and will be carrying out repairs.
Additional funding to be sought for additional lights and adapters. This will include Nigg and Shandwick CC.
Storage for the lights will be needed shortly.
6. Fearn Station
£5000 of work to commence on the Fearn Station platform to provide step-up platforms. This funding will provide stop and go markers and steps. No disabled access will be provided.
Foundation Scotland Grant Funding only to be used by BHCC for the website. Other possible use of funding has been ruled out. It was agreed that the existing website is good and could be enhanced and developed further.
8. .Police Report
Nothing of note to report throughout the BHCC area. Police have been asked to have a presence on Quarry Brae during School times. This was after an incident. Police to confirm if they have managed this.
No planning applications to discuss.
The relocation of the bottle banks and the proposed refurbishment of the public toilets was raised by Coral Isaac. Specifically, the Traffic Management. MR clarified the current situation, and all were reminded that the BHCC did add comments to the application which has since been granted. Traffic signs are included within the application. All
David (Community Liaison Officer)
David explained his role and the TDDTs involvement within the local communities and explained the projects they are involved with.
The Chair has been invited to join the steering group. The new tourism branding was explained, and David discussed several misconceptions of their aims.
TDDT have offered to arrange the next BHCC zoom meetings using their licence. This will mean longer meetings. All agreed to his offer of help
